The model turned actor has recently won the award for best debutant at the Anand Bazar Patrika Awards held in Kolkatta. the star has so far only appeared in one movie - 36 China Town, however he is already causing a "hulchul" in Bollywood. Apparently he has been nominated for the best newcomer category at the GIFA awards this year.
Upen is currently shooting for Suneel Darshans Shaka Laka Boom Boom and Vipul Shah's Namastey London.
